As Gary’s father, a Canadian veteran, grew older, Cassie stepped in again — offering comfort and care during his final years. She became so woven into their family that her own son was the ring bearer at Gary’s daughter’s wedding — a moment that showed just how deep the bond had become.

Monique Hafenberg (2012-2020)
After Monique’s husband passed away, life got overwhelming. Cassie stepped in with quiet strength — providing consistent care and love for the children during a time when their mother was stretched thin with work and grief. In many ways, Cassie became their safe space and daily rock & still has her arms open for those kids to this day!
